Adapter Sleeves:
Adapter Sleeves serve to locate bearings with tapered bore on cylindrical shaft, Sleeves mountings permit more relaxed shaft diameter tolerances in contrast to tolarances where the bearing is directly mounted on the shaft. Adapter sleeves are normally manufactured with taper 1:12 on the outer diameter.
Withdrawal Sleeves:
Withdrawal sleeves locate with tapered bore on cylindrical shafts where the bearings rests against a shaft shoulder. The tapered sleeves is pressed into the bearing bore until the desired reduction in radial clearence is achieved. For dismounting the bearing, the sleeve is extracted using an extraction nut. Withdrawal sleeves are manufactured with taper 1:12 and 1:30 on the outer diameter.
Hydraulic Adapter and Withdrawal:
For mounting and dismounting bearing of large bore diameter, (above 200mm), Hydralic technique is preferred to the conventional methods. In this technique, oil ducts are provided in the bore and in the outer diameter. By injecting oil in these ducts, a thin film is formed which enables easy assembly and disassembly.
Adapters, Withdrawal sleeves and Locknuts:
Are made-to dimensions as per ISO specifications. They are made from high quality steel as ISO specifications and are subjected to stringent quality control and inspection at each stage of manufacture. They are suitable for use with high precision ball and roller bearings. They are designed in particular for use with appropriate ISO bearings of any make.
